Each other và One another thể hiện
mối quan hệ hai chiều. Chúng có thể thay thế cho nhau mà không có
sự khác biệt về nghĩa. Tuy nhiên, người bản ngữ thường dùng each other khi họ
nói về chỉ hai người hoặc hai sự vật, và one another khi nói về nhiều hơn hai
người/ sự vật.
